Maruti Suzuki is not just to get the new generation of Swift, but it will also launch the sedan version of Swift in the second half of this year. The engines in the DZire will remain the same - 1.2-liter gasoline and 1.3-liter DDIS. The new generation Swift is wider and longer than the soon to be outgoing model and the same changes will be implied in the DZire too.
Unveiled on Buddha International Circuit in Greater Noida, 2012 Maruti Suzuki Dzire or "Heart Car" will be launched on 1 2012 February, after the success of its predecessor, Maruti Suzuki Swift.
Less than 4 feet in length, the new Dzire have a shorter boot, new taillights and a chrome accent. The shorter size meant that it qualifies for a lower excise duty of 10 percent as opposed to the current rate of 22 percent of Swift.
