Next summer, trying director Jon Chu (Step Up 2 and 3) to formulate a better GI Joe movie than the one put together by director Stephen Sommers (The Mummy) back in 2009. To fight fan skepticism (which is still on red alert status at the time of writing this), the Chu and CO promised that their sequel, GI Joe: retribution, will give the series a fresh start, with a better cast, better story and most of all, better handling than its predecessor.
The new trailer for Jon Chu's G.I. Joe sequel is here and it looks like a 1980 comic book! I say this as high praise, mind you - it's a movie about ninjas, weapons, ninjas are, take COBRA over the White House, ninjas climb the mountain, The Rock sweating and grimacing, Bruce Willis, scowling and sweaty, and all modern warfare in the first place seen to be boiled down to the ninjas.
