The 60-year-old actor died Thursday morning, a heart attack after complaining of chest pains. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead a little over half an hour after the call to 911 was made.
It was the second heart attack hegy bit, the first being in 2009. He also had other health problems, including the need for hip replacement surgery.
Hegy was best known for her role as the Puerto Rican-Jew on the show - Juan Luis Pedro Phillipo the Huevos Epstein. Epstein for short.
Hegy reunited with John Travolta and the rest of Sweathogs last year to accept TV Land's 35-year anniversary award.
He has also co-starred on the hit drama, "Cagney and Lacey."
Hegy was in his New Jersey home this morning when he had a heart attack. He died at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ.
